What Is MIST?

MIST, standing for Muslim Interscholastic Tournament, brings together Muslims and Non-Muslims in a fun competition. It also serves as an opportunity for everyone to learn more and form new friendships in workshops and during the competition. This year is Parkview's first year competing and we are all so hyped about it!

When is MIST?

The MIST theme for 2024 is The Treasure of Fellowship: From Fragrance to Fortress. The negative effects of COVID-19 on human interaction is undeniable, especially in the context of an increasingly digital world. As the world grows more interconnected through technology, it seems that humans grow farther and farther away from each other. The theme of Fellowship focuses on deepening your existing friendships, while also deepening your bonds with your community by honing your social-emotional skills. As Muslims, our friendships should center around Allah (swt), but it is imperative in today's society that we embody empathy, kindness, and love the way our prophet Muhammad (pbuh) taught us.
